It seems to me like the number of CFF posts have dropped dramatically over the last few years. Do you think that is true? If so why?

That is funny but JMax moving has cut down on the chatter. lol

Both of you are funny!!! emoLaugh I am still fishing here in Arkansas but the size is so much smaller then there it is just not the same to post a report. emoBawl Went to DeGray Lake here in AR Saturday, caught bass on a black and blue jig, it was the only bait I could get them to hit. Yes, I tried a shakey. It was tough, Rock bluffs in about 20 to 25 foot. Water temp was 48. Ready for Spring. emoBigsmile Jmax

I see a lot of forums dying because of Facebook. There is a lake chickamauga reports group and others on Facebook that I bet is taking some of the views/posts. I’m watching Pensacola fishing forum go through the same thing.

I think its just part of the cycle. Like Patrick said, there are a lot of different social media platforms now. Plus You have to look at other things also. We always had a few guys that would give great detailed reports with a lot of pics that aren't really active anymore. Some have moved on, some have moved, and some have sadly passed away. Just take a look at the all time report leaders and you will see what I mean. I think the Hall of Fame definitely helped get posts up too back in the day as people posted all kinds of pictures of different species and not just bass. With the lake getting crowded it tends to keep people more hush about their fish too. I still love the forum and have met some great guys throughout the years on the CFF. Here is a chart of the guys who have surpassed 100 fishing reports all time....

Social media is the prime reason. You have to view the CFF through a web browser, while facebook is through an app. The page on Facebook is just not the same as you onl see one post at at time and nothing is organized into separate places. Sadly its the way of the future.

I think you guys are right about the social media. It seems like more people are posting to it instead of this forum. Yes and I always loved reading Jmax's reports. Thanks for your input.

I don't get to fish as much as I used to so I don't post as much. I do fish from the bank some but don't catch a lot from there because I'm limited to spots that only hold fish at certain times emoBawl emoUSA
