CFF7 Chickamauga Night Tourney 6-24-2006

My partner and I stayed around Harrison Bay and Patten Island all night. Caught 7 short ones on the first spot we fished right at dark and thought it was going to be a good night....wrong!

I think we counted 21 fish in the boat by 2 am with one keeper Spot. Since we didn't have anything to take to the scales....and it being a great night to be on the water....we kept fishing! I think we finally put the boat on the trailer about 4:30.

We had 27 in all with 90% of them on a T-rig 10" worm. I stuck a couple of 14.5's on a jig, but that was it. Zeroed with a Blk/Bul Spinnerbait.

Enjoyed eating supper with everyone and meeting some more members.

That was an 8-2 Largemouth I caught shiner fishing in south Florida. I sent the pics to the Outdoorsmen News and told the editor I'd wash her car if she put it on the cover......SHE DID ! ! ! I was extatic when I saw it! That was the neatest thing.

I called her and asked when she wanted that car washed and she said that wasn't necessary.....but I really would have done it if she said yes.

I have a framed copy hanging right next to a replica of that fish over my fireplace.....yeah....I turned her loose.....not my place to decide wether that fish lives or dies. She got a big sloppy kiss before I let her go though.

I have kissed a few of those big lunkers in my days. That certainly was a nice catch!!!!!
