I read Jason's post about where everybody is & thought posting here was a good idea. To me, the guys on here are who built this site.
My son, Mocs-TR20, put in at Skull about 7:00. No current was moving & no wind. Started on points near the ramp that drop into 18-20'.Caught a 3#, another 15" keeper & 5 slicks, on shakey head worm & 1 on CB. About 9:00, moved to a 15' channel that runs out of 2-6' flats. The wind really began picking up from the south. Brent hooked a nice 4-5# fish that came up & threw his jig. Caught a few more slicks on shakey head & called it a night.

Thanks for the report TR! It sounds like you are still fishing transition fish rather than summer pattern fish. Do you still find fish in those areas when the water is hot?

Polo, Yes, these seem to be more transitional fish heading out from the spawning areas. I think many of these fish slowly move toward deeper after spawning, stopping along key structure where bait is present & may stay there for quite a while, regaining their strength. I'm sure there's alot of fish already on the deep summer pattern, but I'm better at fishing 5-15' stuff than 25-30'. Last year I caught fish on these areas even in July & Aug. as they are right next to 22-25' water & allows them to move up shallow to feed or drop off deep very quickly.

jason,
I'm gonna try to do my posts here, I'm sure more comfortable witrh it. I'm out of town today, but will put a report for Sat. & tomorrow from KY Lake by Wed.

Now that's great info. Thanks BH! Are you in a tourney at KY lake? What part are you fishing? Are you well acquainted with the area or another part of the lake? There are lots of geat areas on that lake. I'd love to talk to you about some spots and send you some maps of some spots that look good to me in the area that you will be. Let me know if you are interested. Have a great trip!
