My partner and I got out early this morning and headed up river for some bassin action. The morining was beautiful and the run up river was brisk. We started out using topwater baits and cranks. There was current in the river and very little wind. Water temp was in the High 70's. The bass are hanging close to the bream around shorelines with willow flies. The shallow crank out produced the topwater although some of the bites were occurring as soon as the bait made contact with the water. We had fun with the small fish today and several fish came unbutton after a jump or two. My partner caught a nice spot and a bonus fish to go with his total today. We also caught several fish on worms we finished at noon with 12 bass today:) God BlessemoAngel

My goodness, look at the size of that forked-tail devil!! I once caught a 5-6 lb carp on a fly rod while fishing for bream on a fly hatch.
