Chickamauga 02-07-07

We got out around 3:00 fished a deep C-rig with small baits in about 12-20 ft. on main lake points with deep water close by. With only one small keeper. Went to a marina down river & we threw a hair jig & drop shot. We got 5 with one small 14inch. Spaaat. 7mph. wind felt more like 17mph wind at times. We ran to a deep point & got two keepers around 2 & 1/2 each 16 & 1/2 inch & as fat as a football. Went back in a marina & saw somthing chasing bait. Last time I saw this BBass said (awww, it's prob just a bluegill). When the water is 41-44deg & you see a fish chasing somthing, throw over there

 It was a 4.2 lg mouth. Got him in about 4-6 ft. of water, 30 min before dark. On a suspending jerkbait, with about a 45 second pause. Saw bass15. breaking in the rebuilt motor, only 19 more gallons to go.

Good deal 2jigs sounds like you found some fish. The water temp must be warmer were you are fishing because im still catching my fish in 12-25 feet of water. As a matter of fact Tues. when I went out there was ice forming on the top of the water where I was fishing. Glad to hear there is still some warmer water out there and the fish are still active.

We had some water at 43-44 deg. late today. Yep LL that was one of the marinas. Never did figure out how to fish it like you said, I'll keep on trying though... I saw some birds getting some baitfish first & then I saw somthing chasing. I didn't think it was that shallow there or I wouldn't have even fished over there. Just goes to show ya. Don't over think this stuff. The fish are going where the bait is & BBass I got Pic's I'll get them developed tommrow. Anyone know of a cheap place to get a disposable camra devloped so Jmax & BBass will leave me alone about it?

Haven't had much luck on fish staying put. Mr Shocker, ( Just ask BBass (

 ). But my guess is, even a blind hog finds an acorn sooner or later.
