I know this sounds crazy but you may want to leave the doors UNLOCKED. Obviously if they want what you got they are going to get it. Beats the alternative. (I guess)

Heard a story about a guy who kept coming back and finding his battery stolen and his windows broke so they could get in to open the hood. Finally he bought used batteries and took his good battery from the truck in the boat with him and left the used no count batteries in the truck to be stolen. He quit locking the truck so they wouldn't break the windows out to open the hood. It was trouble to have to change out the batteries but it worked for him! Still, I love to fish but not that bad!!!

Sorry about the trouble - it really makes you think about "vigilantes." Not sure cops really want to catch these guys sometimes, but they can't be everywhere. You never know if they (the thiefs) are carrying guns so you could get yourself shot trying to stop it.

Gosh guys sorry to hear about the break in's and the boat grounding. That really sucks big time. Skull Island ramp is where I normally put in and from time to time I have seen some strange acting folks there. I hate a thief big time. I always wonder where the sheriff's department is when things like that happen. They never seem to be at a ramp where something like this happens but they sure will be behind you if the light on your trailer is out. I know they have calls and things like that but how many times do you see them sitting in a store parking lot? I also wonder how it is that we can have 5 sheriff's cars sitting at a cafe at one time while the deputies are inside eating. Kinda makes you wonder who is watching the county while that is going on! The channel going into Skull is VERY tricky and very dangerous. Lots of rocks, stumps and hard clay banks. I always carry a big spot light and try to pick up the reflective markers from the river before I head in when the water is low. Glad to hear everyone is ok.

CRAZYHORSE, that's really too bad about your break in experience. That would really ruin my day if it had happened to me. Be careful if you do plan to bait those boys, like someone else said, they might have a gun or a knife and you'd hate to get into a tussle with someone that has a piece on them. It's really sad that someone would do that. I heard that someone say a bunch of glass at WT ramp too. Someone must be really desperate if they would break into someone else's vehicle. I hope that they get caught soon whoever they are.

The thing is -------- yeah it was a rough night, but as the cops were writing their report, we were laughing so hard about the whole "boat sinking" reaction of propbender that we could barely answer the 10,000 questions they were asking us. Before it was over we had the cops laughing pretty hard too. Me and TooTall met Propbender for a totally not fishing related night out last night. When Propbender pulled up we came out of the GNC in collegdale wearing our life jackets just to get in one last ***. We are breaking him in.
This was way to funny to not laugh and have some fun with. If it had been on video, we could have EASILY won all the money on Americas funniest home video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
