my name is scott kelley (creekrock00) and i am on the dayton bass club tournament committee..i am looking for advice, tips, help, names, anything that might help with a serious problem in dayton...richland creek...if any of you have ever put in at the dayton ramp you kow that the first 3/4 mile of the creek has wahsed in considerably...the creek desperately needs redredged...the buoys need replaced...this is not only a inconvience but a serious hazard if you dont know where to run or idle...right now they are spots in the main channel 1.6 ft deep...a few years ago it was 4 to 5 ft. deep in the same spot...i have sent a letter to the corps and if anyone has any ideas please let me know...thank you..

I didn't fish up there this past winter, Scott, but I noticed last year that it was getting very shallow through that little stretch that you are talking about. Hopefully, someone has the solution.

Bring up the problem at the next city meeting, because if that ramp is closed then the city will lose alot of money. I know there I some good size tournament that put out there. The state tournament is going to put out there and there will about 120 boats in it. But them 120 boats can't all fish in the back of richland creek.

Winter pool is the only time that there should be a problem there but you would think that the town of Dayton would be really interested in keeping that creek channel from becoming hazardous. Let us know how you get it figured out. I don't have a clue about what is possible from a citizen's standpoint.
