its around $13 per 50lb bag or about $500 by the ton if you pick it up down there not sure how much shipping adds though

My garden seems to draw them in real good. They love okra, sweet potatoes, peppers, beans, and corn. I run them off all the time and they come back every day.

Promised i would... Hand thrown corn and trace mineral... Just one of many pics and different bucks from this cam check.

h=What is the mapplenut candy? Are you talking about the old school candy made around east Tennessee by Brach candy company. The stuff i am thinking of is a little candy bar made for human consumption. Oh and Churly has single handedly made me lose sleep tonight by the pictures of his deer. Goodnoght!

Are there public hunting grounds in the area, or does everyone here hunt private lands? Kept my house in WI northwoods as we still gun hunt up here. MY son bowhunts around our property(as I look outside I see corn in one field, soybeans in another, clover in a third and buckwheat in the last) but I haven't bowhunted since coming to Ooltewah a few years ago. Thinking of it this fall, but want to find somewhere close to the house to be able to sit in the evenings...

Get some maps and some boots and start exploring.
There's lots of public land to deer hunt near Ooltewah, but you just don't go putting out info in a public forum for any swinging dick to jump in on.

Hint: TVA maps

and a freebie

Cherokee National Forest

they will eat most fruits but they wont eat a peach. i hunt near a peach orchard in south ga that a buddy of mine owns and have never seen a single deer eat a peach nor has he. but they like the leaves which have around 30% protein. and if you are itching for a pig pour some buttermilk on the ground and they will come if they are near by atleast thats how he gets them in close to thin them out of the peaches
