Deflategate! What do you think?

This will be interesting at Superbowl time. I wonder what changes we'll see during the game as far as ball inspection during the game.
I can just see each official with an air pressure gauge!

Too much money at stake, not enough time to properly investigate prior to Super Bowl to punish (if guilty) team now. If found to be true and in control of team or referees, league should make a very strong response. More than 1 draft pick lost, permanent ban for those responsible, big fine come to my mind. Makes me not even planning to watch SB now. Sickening that this happens in sports, but cheating also goes on in all facets of everyday life. Very easy to come up with examples so I won't beat it to death.

Have you ever heard of an Official being fined for cheating? I think that they (officials) should be held more accountable. We all have seen some WTF calls over the years.

Totally agree, I think the officials were ultimately slack in their responsibilities on this one, but not the only ones who should "face the music". Will be interesting to see what ends up happening, but it is not a good example for our youth.

If it really happened in full view and with so many officials in charge-what could happen in bass fishing tournaments! emoScratch
Oh yeah-What's a corked bat? And what do steroids do?

You hear the latest? They are now looking at a video where an attendant from the Patriot's staff took all 24 balls from the official's room to go to the field. 12 balls from the Patriots and 12 balls from the Colts. It shows him stopping off along the way to a one stall one room bathroom. He takes all the balls into the bathroom with him. The bathroom allows the person to lock it from the inside. He emerges they claim only 90 seconds later with the two bags of balls. It is the only time the balls where out of sight from the time the officials checked them to the time they were used. When they questioned the person he said, "I needed to go to the bathroom." The Patriots are claiming that even if there was a time the balls were out of sight that 90 seconds was not enough time to deflate 11 balls. emoRolleyes Jmax

(Here is a thought, what if there was another bag of balls already prepared so all he had to do is switch them.) emoScratch

Seems like it's getting a little less attention finally. Maybe Seattle will take care of business and it won't be an issue. I think the punishment should be for Brady to play the Super Bowl with balls inflated to 15lbs or 2 pounds over regulation:)
