I can vouch for Barnsley Gardens. I've played golf down there a bunch of times and eaten at the Woodlands Grill once. It was very good. No better than Hennans though.

You can't go wrong with Krystals. If she won't split a Sack Full with you, you got the wrong chick in the first place...

I was only partially kidding of course, but we refuse to eat seafood around here. Buy some from the Fresh Market and prepare it yourself. We find it usually tastes much better and we come out cheaper.

Since nobody else is sharing their opinions, I'll throw my .02 in... emoPoke
Never been to Canyon Grill, but I will say that Bonefish is about the best seafood I've had around here. The Chilean sea bass is probably the best grilled fish I've ever had.

Nickies on Cherokee Blvd. has some of the best shrimp around. It was voted one of the ten best old time diners in the south by Southern Living mag. (be prepared to stand in line)

First off, thanks for all of the suggestions. There's a few of them that we'll be trying in the near future.

After going over the options with the boss, she decided to go to Birmingham to the Fishmarket Restaraunt, a place downtown that has KILLER seafood. With my work schedule I wanted to stay a little closer to home, but I've always let her have the say when it comes to anniversaries. We had a good time, got away from everything for a while, and enjoyed a great meal.
