Well I decided to chance it today knowing that it was gonna be a windy, pleasure boat, jetski filled day. My wife wanted to go fish/tan for a lil while. Haha. We put in at about 10 at HBSP. It was very windy and was hard for us to fish and the pleasure boats and jetskis just added to it. We fished no deeper than 10ft today. I threw a jig and she threw a shakey head. I caught four fish while we were there and prob missed another four or so. I lost one that felt decent that swam towards me so fast I couldnt pick up enough line fast enough. She didnt catch any which she was new at the shakey head and fishing in general but she tried and thats all that matters. I ended up catching my PB today. It weighed 6 1/2 #s. Sure felt good, that made mine and my wifes day. Since I started going with Earl and got a boat of my own now I am learning something every time I go out. Its a totally different ball game out there compared to what Im used to on the banks of ponds. The best 3 today would have been around 11 #s.

Your wife is a real trooper to go out in a bass fishing boat on a madhouse Sunday afternoon on the Chick emoApplause ...she did a great job on taking the pics too! You've set your own new bar with that PB, now it's time for you get serious and top that goal. emoAngler As for Earl...great fisherman to learn much from emoTeacher , has he got you hooked up on the Beulah Jigs?

Yes mad dog she toughed the ruff water and all out. I do throw the Beulah and I started pouring and making my own recently. Yes now I'm ready to catch a real good one
