We started out day one out of Sullivans and had a limit in an hours on dropshot and ned rig. Culled two and ended up the day in second place by .001 over Steven and Billy and close to three pounds out of second place. The wind was unbelievable, and the bite started strong and slowed for us. Caught most fish on Dropshot, Wacky Wig, Senko, and Texas Rig. Had big Spotted bass of 2.22 pounds.

Day 2 started with a cold run upriver to our first spot. Within thirty minutes we had two small keepers on a Whopper Plopper and a Sammy. Caught third keeper shortly after on a drop shot, and then the slowdown started. Wind began to whip up. Dusty caught the fourth keeper, an ugly largemouth on a ned rig. Continued to catch a few small fish here and there on swim worm and wacky worm and as we finished, we figured we had blown the day. Also caught a buffalo and a large turtle on a lipless crankbait.

Got back to weigh-in to find out several had a bad day and with the benefit of a dead fish penalty, kept second place overall by less than a pound. When Dean said they had a dead fish my mind automatically subtracted 8 ounces, only to be reminded we changed it to a full pound a few years ago. Even with 8 ounces, we would have taken second by 1 ounce. Took an overall big spot for another $20 in our pocket. Steve and Billy brought their A game on day 2 and put the hurt on everyone.

Great report and congrats on 2nd it was a tough weekend.
Thanks for the work you do for us on permits and getting everything ready. Next year will be here quick.
