I hit the Nick for nearly two hours Sunday, and my wife accompanied me to be sure I did not stay too long. emoBang Started out fishing the same area I have had great success lately and today was no different. Boated ten largemouth in under two hours, with the largest right at four pounds. 8 of 10 fish exceeded the 15 inch mark, with the best five reaching around 14 pounds. All fish caught on aBerkley Frenzy top water popper in white, fished slow, but very loud on the choppy water. Funny that this topwaterbait I bought for $1.97 was just as effective as the G-Splash I fished early last week. I tied it on because when I got to where I wanted to fish the first lure laying in my storage was this one that I had cut off my neices rod and thrown in the storage bin. </p>

I was curious if the bite would be as good as it was before the cold front came in, and it seemed to be every bit as good, if not better.</p>

Left the water around 5:30pm, and the fish were still very aggressive. Saw some large schools of big fish gorging themselves on baitfish.</p>

I love this time of year. Wish I had more time to be on the water...</p>

does it seem to matter what area of the lake youre fishing ...........been over a couple times .............havent found any fish working the shad

Glad you had another great day. Nothing like showing off for the wife! I can be on a wad of fish for a while then invite my wife and NOTHING!!!! She thinks I go just to get away from her??? emoAngel

I am finding them in the shallows relating to the grass,but not in the grass.</p>

I was down there there all day. My buddy and I caught em very good all day, but only in certain little areas.

Dang...I mean Congrats..... I was there from abut 3:00 until sunset and only managed a couple of keepers.
