I welcomed Bassert back home from the land of sunny Florida with a trip to the Riverpark. We fished from 7:00 AM til 1:30 PM. We landed 120 bass and had about 50 or more jump off. We fished from the dam down to the bend and a few places in between. We caught the fish on anything that you wanted to throw. They were a little slow on topwater, but the minnow bite was red hot. Caught a few on crawfish plastics, and some on swimming minnows in the 2" size.

Top fish of the day was a beautiful smallmouth bass that was 19" long and 3 lbs 14 ozs. It was caught off a bridge piling. I had another 17 inch spotted bass there and several goggle eyes. We caught fish off every bridge except the Olgatti. Nothing happening there. We didn't take many pics because of the rain, but I kept 10 spots for the freezer. The bigger ones were released. I caught a crappie off wood near the Lookout creek junction. Pat had one shellcracker and a bluegill. He also caught a channel cat and I had a slimy fish pull off after a short fight. He snotted up my line though. Must have blew his nose at me. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

I am so glad you are able to enjoy this wonderful fishery that we have. When I grow up and retire I hope to be right there with you. Wonderful report.

I put in after you and took out about 12:30, wasn't hard to spot those 2 trucks in the lot-only ones!
Must have been you on one of the bridges when I drove through downtown,
They were on fire today!

.Good Gravy, I went to the wrong place today emoBang as I fished Harrison Bay in the rain for only about 11 or 12 bass emoBang
Nice work DK and BERT that's got to be a RECORD of some kind emoScratch
Thanks for the report.

I had a great time fishing behind DK and enjoying the rainy cold overcast day. We did this trip last year so our goal was over 100. Last year we got 120 and this year we repeated. I had stopped off at Soddy Tackle and picked up a few plastics that were very productive today, but the baits over 2 inches did the job better. Even so I was a'grinnin' the whole time enjoying the fellowship and fishing with a special friend. Thank you DK for your consideration and assistance taking me down the river and all the new experiences and tricks learned today. It is always a special treat and it was fantastic! I even got to try out some bridge fishing! emoCool emoThanks emoGeezer

Great day to be out there guys. I knew that someone was out there catching a bunch! I'm glad that you are back home to fish again Pat. Congrats on breaking the 100 mark.

Thanks for the report, always enjoy. I am about to die not being able to get on water my truck has issues with paint and the dealer has had it for awhile. If they don't hurry up I'm taking Momma's ride and get a hitch for it. emoRedface
