I got my fuzzy butt out and cast my ballot today, as did Mrs. EricM (whose fuzzy butt we will NOT discuss, lest she smite me).

We all like to piss and moan about our government, as did our fathers and forefathers before us. That is all fine and good as far as it goes. The important thing is to now cast our vote to remove those who do not promote the well-being of the people (in each of our opinions), or to retain those who we believe are governing correctly.

It seems to me that for the last decade or so that WE THE PEOPLE have allowed those governing us to spend huge amounts of money that do not even EXIST, creating deficits that I believe will destroy the individual States, and the United States of America as a whole.

I also feel that this is one of the rare opportunities to make major changes in those established policies and those who support them - no matter what political party they may belong to. Both major parties seem to carry about equal amounts of guilt as their individual incumbents seem to be hell-bent on toeing the party line and protecting their careers, rather than honestly caring about what their actions are doing to our State and Federal futures.

I ask of each of you :

PLEASE get out and vote. It is mostly painless, and our financial situation REALLY needs to be addressed. Tell those who represent us how you really feel!

VOTE!

I would rather a person vote Democrat than not vote at all. If you dont vote, you should loose your rights in this country.

I know its pretty much pointless to post this in the political forum as I have no doubt anyone that reads any of this is already planning on voting.

I guess I'll wait until the 2nd. to cast my vote for my third district rep in congress and it won't be for either of the ambulance chasers running from the two major parties.

I'm proud to say I'm voting for Mark DeVol, a business owner from Anderson County.

Bill
