We blasted off out of CFP around 6:10 AM. Ronnie and I made first stop and on the first and second cast Ronnie got bit on a shakey head but missed them both. But it was a good sigh, right? Well we never got another bite there so after about an hour we moved to our second stop. Nothing there! We went to our third stop and once again Ronnie and his spinning rod saved our bacon. He caught all three of our little keepers there along with two or three short fish on a shakey head. I kept throwing a larger worm trying to get that big bite but only caught one short fish. The water temp was showing around 79 degrees with very little current. We threw spinner baits, chatter baites, cranks, and several different top waters but never had a bite on anything but the shakey head worms. Congrats to the winners Brian Elder and Rusty White.
