It was a miserably slow night to say the least! That is basically all that needs to be said. Low water, no current, just the Dead Sea! Ronnie and I knew that it was going to be a tough night but we didn't realize that it was going to be as bad as it turned out to be! We ran up river to our first stop and spent about an hour and a half there for no fish. We moved to another spot. No fish. We moved again and Ronnie finally caught a small keeper on a shaky head. Time marched on and we caught a three or four of short fish. We both lost what we think was a couple of very good fish. They were stuck but just pulled off? Then we both broke off a fish on the hook set of a shaky head? We each broke off and lost about a dozen shaky heads, a hand full of tubes, a couple or three jigs each, and a spinner bait each. It seemed like we couldn't do anything right! Finally I caught another small keeper so we now had two in the box and it was around midnight. About an hour later I caught another keeper on a spinner bait for our three little fish limit. I told Ronnie that the lures we had lost out weighed our fish! We made two other moves but no fish. Finally at 1:30 am I asked Ronnie if he still had the keys to my Tahoe and he said yes. So I told him that if he would back the trailer in I would load the boat and we could get out of the water and tend to our wounds! I think our monstrous bag was 6 lbs. something and we still finished 5th I believe! We threw shaky heads, Tx. rig worms, jigs, tubes, spinner baits, and crank baits. We threw a variety of sizes and colors with the worms, tubes and jigs but nothing seemed to help. Once again, it was just a terribly slow night for everyone. Congrats to Mr. Mark and Mr. Ray for the winning bag and they had the big LM and SM too!

Even though it was a tough night it was better than sitting on the couch .

Great report. Every time I go to riverpark I lose a lot and you would think with the current down you wouldn’t lose as much but you lose more.
