Engine Stalls

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

After sitting several hours, I started the engine and let it idle for 15 minutes at 1500 PRM's as per instructions. Now this morning when I sprayed the Engine Tuner into the carbs, idle speed was 1200 RPM's. After sitting and restarting, the idle is at 1500. I know the RPM's will be lower at idle with the engine in the water.

I may have corrected the problem. The engine seemed to idle too slow before at 800 RPM's. Maybe the faster idle will cure the stalling issue.

I'll take the boat to the lake in a couple of days and report back.

Wish me luck. :)

All the above advice, along with the Engine Tuner worked !!!! The engine stalling issue has been corrected.

I was on the lake Fri,Sat and Sunday and the engine ran great.
No stalling.

Thanks everyone for the ideas and hopefully, this will help someone else.
