Auburn may hire a coach that could dominate the SEC for ten years, and they may have one now , time will tell. The problem Auburn has is the Auburn job is no better than the 6th or 7th best coaching job in the SEC. They just want be able to keep a good coach, they never have.

Yep. Chizik won a NC in 2010. Only two years later they ran him off. Maybe if Malzahn stays they'll let him get comfortable.

SportsCenter reporting that Saban has signed multi-year extension to stay at BAMA (Kirk Herbstreit). Looks like the two best coaches in football will stay in the SEC & Alabama! Sweet!!!

Well, this is odd timing but insiders report that new AD and UT president just met with Mack Brown and he's staying at Texas.

dch Name 1 Head Coach that has been hired by Auburn that has dominated the SEC for multiple year. My point is not that every time Auburn hires a coach that can dominate the SEC for multiple years someone hires him away. My point is they have never had one. emoIdea

They've got one now boys and I'm loving it. An offensive guru at Auburn versus a defensive guru at Alabama. Should make for some good Iron Bowls, but hold up Mack Brown just stepped down at Texas. Malzahn has to be their top choice in Austin. I think they wanted him more than Saban and who wouldn't when offering a ten year deal. Even Bear couldn't coach into his seventies.

If UT gets far enough down on the list of coaches and ole Gus's phone rings. HE GONE!

Yup, I agree that he's probably UT's first choice. He can do more with less than any other coach in the country. Ole sad sack Saban has to have five consecutive #1 classes to get close to beating The Genius on the Plains Malzahn. Gus will sign a ten year deal this year or next for $100 million. They'll have to pay Saban to leave after several consecutive losses to Auburn. You can lose at BAMA and keep your job, but you can't lose consecutive games to Auburn and keep your job.

You may be correct! You seem like someone that knows what he's talking about.

I don't know anything except that its fun talking sports with BAMA fans. I've been going to UT games since I was ten, and have seen some the best to ever play or coach the game. Rocket Ismail was amazing to watch at Neyland. Never saw anyone run that fast with a football in his hand. Bo, Hershel, Peyton, the Snake, Broadway Joe, Reggie, Condredge, the Bear ---- lots of memories.

I have several BAMA fans at work that haven't come by our office since THE LOSS, but I know they will eventually come by to say hello.
