After receiving some pm's about not having a tournament in May, I decided to take suggestions. I was looking at the CFF calendar and May is very busy! The only Saturday I could see us fitting it in is on the 3rd. Now I am more than willing to put on a tournament, but my question is where. I know Chickamauga is going great, but if you didn't know Guntersville in May can be outrageous!! Is anyone willing to travel with gas prices the way they are for a small tournament? If so, then I'm for it ( as long as I get at least 10 boats), if not we can have it on Chickamauga or Nickajack I'll leave it up to you all. Just respond under this thread.

I would be willing to do the Chick again. It is a lot cheaper on the wallet and you only donate $25.emoBigsmile You could have it out of Grass Hopper or Skull to give those with an upper desire a little closer run. I would be for the Nick again as well. Grass would be coming up and top water action should be about perfect. The G is my less of desired due to the gas but if you do have it there I will be there reguardless.emoThumbsup Jmax

Chris,

I'm spoken for on 5/3 but there is only one TX listed on the calendar on 5/24. I would prefer the "G" out of mud creek.

I vote for Chickamauga. Guntersville can be great in may for the local experts but for most its very tough. I'm tired of supporting the middle east by driving all over the place as well. I'm for chick or nickajack.

I'm burnt out on gas runs. Guntersville is ot for me...I'm spending what cash I have on my backyard lake.

I think think getting up on the upper end of Chick would be cool. Theres areas and creeks like our end and some decent runs of "riverpark" looking areas. Might be nice to see a different part of Chick and not spend a ton in gas.

If harrison Bay or Chesterfrost are the next ones though...I'll be there.

Upper end would be a better choice since the LFO/Walmart Tournament is going out of CFP that day...I know alot of guys may run up,,but we would already be fishing before they blast off...emoDance

When you guys say upper end, do you mean like above Hiwasse, around Hiwassee, Like I said I am just not very familiar with any of it. I fished the Hiwassee once with Ranman, but couldn't tell you where. Where is grass hopper from there?

Grasshopper is a couple miles below the hwy 60 bridge, so its also south of Hiwassee. I dont remember if its Sale, or Possum creek that is almost directly across the river that ramp.

Chris, its across from Sale Creek. I kinda like the Dayton Idea. I have never been up there but would like to have a reason to pre fish up there some and get to know the area.

I vote Chick... preferably lower, but I'm game... I don't know any of it except what few times I've been there thus far. What about the Ramp by the dam at Amnicola? Large ramp lot and different than the CFP that everyone is used too. My .02

Just Kidding!

Chris, Yes, Dayton is Richland Creek. I would love to get on that upper end for one TX. See new water, try new areas!
