I'm really a panfish assassin lover. I dip the tail only in chartreuse dippin' dye and catch a bunch. If I'm fishing 12 feet or less I fish with a 1/32oz jig head and if greater than 12 feet or heavy current I will fish a 1/16oz jig head. I do need to get some of those stingers but the assassins have been great to me and so I'm a believer in them. They skip better under docks than any of the others that I've tried but this time of the year with the water so low on the solid docks that the others are just as good. Once the water is up skipping/shooting the docks will be tougher and the assassin will be king again.

Ant this what is called Spider Rigging.......what their calling Ky. rigging?

KY rigging and spider riing are two totally different methods. Kentucky rigging is described above. Spider rigging is when you have a number of rods in rod holders protruding from the boat. Usually the rods are long and varied lengths. From overhead the boat looks like a big spider with all the rods sticking out looking like legs. It is a very productive way to fish but you have to have a lot of patience to do it. With eight or ten rods out and two or three baits on each rod you can see the potential for tangling.

He is probably referring to an umbrella rig. It's a wire arrangement with 6 or so arms with lures sticking out around a central lure.  They are often used trolling for Stripers.  I guess it's supposed to look like a school of bait fish. TN laws state that if hooks larger than #6 are used, only one lure may have a hook.   </p>
