Grey Ghost and Lavender Shad have both been good to me. Heck, I snagged my $175 combo Monday evening on Grey Ghost!!!

I notice alot of folks throwing D22 on fluro; I am surprised more are not throwing on braid. With braids thinner diameter you can dig the crank deeper (20/6 or 30/8 PP for me) due to less resistance. Besides I hate fluro for anything but leader material.

Also call me crazy but I switch out the gammies for diachi, the thinner diachi will straighting if enough pressure is applied. I buy them by the 100 count and it is fairly affordable; Just replace after straigting a couple of times. Never had a fish to straighting one though. Other than being thicker and not being able to straighten them, I find nothing wrong with the Gammies but the diachi are sharper.

EDIT to add: Solid Reds, Blue/Purple, and Yellow/Whites have been good along with yellow/white belly color mixed with any other color.

I toss the Norman baby bass pattern in trees on deep banks this time of year and do well. I use at least 12 pound line, you will give the tree a lure on a regular basis but I have caught 20 pounds out of one tree in 4 fish doing this.

Greg, is that the white DD22 with a sparkly green stripe on its back?</p>

At 60 I cant crank as good as I once could but I can crank a little as good as I ever could. At night keep my teeth in a jar keep the DD22s in the box all the time.
