I bought the poor man's Benelli (Stoeger M2000) and after four rough duck seasons it is still performing perfectly. One tip I got for the inertia guns is too clean and break them in according to the manual. After you clean it lube it with Breakfree CLP.

I have the SBE II, It has been dropped in mud, gravel, rice fields, dirt roads, used in snow, rain, and extreme temps, even used as a boat paddle once. Never had one missfire or problem. Only shotgun I will ever use waterfowling.

I can't help much. I bought a Remington 1100 in '73 with our wedding gift money (uh, wife #1 didn't take that too well) (didn't try that trick on #2 or 3) and have carried the old girl ever since. I've shot (at) pretty much everything I've ever had the opportunity to hunt, put a zillion shells through her at trap (new and reloads), fallen in the mud and the water and the snow, and she's never failed me. The closest she's come was when I somehow managed to fail to put powder into one of my early reloads, and the primer was just enough to push the wad and shot out of the barrel (looked about like I was peeing). It wasn't enough to cycle the autoloader, but the bird died laughing.

Whatever you decide on, if it is comfortable and it fits and shoots well for you, it is right.

I've got the Benelli M2 which is similar to the SBE2 only with a 3 inch chamber instead. it is an awesome gun. never had one problem with it

U know I see these people sayin there benellis are jammin....and its hard for me to nelieve dont know if ur over cleaning the gun or wht it will not shoot loads less than 1 1/8 oz well it will shoot them just wont cycle due to less powder since its recoil operated I will take either one of my benellis and shoot it 1000 times and promise they will not jam and theywill shoot everytime

... love it! Eric, you ain't right! I can't help, you guys are way over my head. I've got an old Remington pump, and auto, and a Winchester auto. all 12 ga. that's probably dry rotted by now along with enough other rifles, armaments and ammo to start a young war. I quit hunting and packed them all up. But I can say this about the "Blue Collar" Remington's vs. those high dollar guns, I have never, ever had one to jam! Oh well maybe one of these days I'll dig them out and see if they still shoot!

I have several but my favorite is SBE 1.Last month killed a limit of ducks in the morning and a limit of doves in the afternoon.Iv'e owned mine approx.15 years.Had one small problem and Benelli said send it too them.Got it back in a few days with test results of multiple shells fired thru it.Outstanding company.Keep the box.

If I was to buy an auto loader right now it would be a Maxus. Less kick than a SBE II and the price tag is a little better too.

I have two Remington 1100's and have one set up for Turkey and one is the general purpose shotgun. Sadly, I inhierited the 2nd shotgun when my Dad died in 2003. He had every barrel you could buy for an 1100. Rifled Slug barrell, Skeet, full, modified, improved and all are the classic 1100 vent rib barrels. Every time I pick that shotgun up I feel like he is here with me still.

1975 Remington 1100 12 mod choke reg barrell I've had since age 16. Had Stoeger, Browning, and Mossberg. Mossberg for turkey but overall give me my Remington. Works every time and I can hit with it. Kinda like a good golf club, name don't mean anything if you can't make contact with it.

A 1970's Remington 1100 12 gauge. I have 2 of them. I love them so much. One is a improved choke w/fint rib and the other is a reg barrel modified choke. The both shoot skeet really good. Wouldnt trade them for the world.
