Re: First Annual Crappie For Canines Tournament (Pics Included)

From all of us at Chattanooga Goodwill, we wanted to say another heartfelt thank you to Candi for an AMAZING job with putting this tournament together in support of our animal therapy services and assistance dogs. Goodwill does not charge for any of these programs, so YOU guys make these unique services possible! We deeply appreciate your encouragement and support! The dogs cannot wait to see our wonderful friends on April 14th!

emoDance CU has made the Maddog a gladdog with this idea!emoApplause What a great cause to get off the couchand fish for em while they are biting really good. Great timing for a crappie catching tournament for all types of fisherpeople, the crappies are in so shallow looking for spawning areas that even the bank fishers are catching the big ones.Does everyone has to be out in a boat to paticipate? Alot of people who enjoy watching their bobber go underwater could easily catch some and even the "big one"just fishing around the sloughs and walking trails inside HBSP on that weekend, just splash em in a five gallon bucket and tote em to the weigh in!emoFish emoAngler The weigh-in will be spectacular, both the males and the females are really putting on their spawning colors and are feeding aggressively and are fat as butterballs, what a show that will be...thats worth a small donation to the GADA cause just to see whatour great crappie lake has to offer! Count me in to donate a doorprize of a tackle box of custom made crappie jigs!

I just love the Murphy pic with the BG hat...resemblesthat guy who catches those three poundersemoToast

Thank you all for all the Outstanding Support! emoWorthy
Looks like it is turning out to a great tournament, with lots of interest....I have added the rules to the original post, and I have received several offers for more prizes. I will update as soon as I have them and post some pictures. Even if you are unable to fish the tournament, maybe you can come by for the weigh in and meet these amazing dogs.
Again, thanks everyone for the huge outpouring of support......Lets have a Great Tournament for this local life changing program! emoBigsmile

If interested let me know my son will be back Monday If he's not interested then anyone's welcome to fish with me as long as you know where the big fish are. Just kidding but it would help. You can pm me or call me at 423-595-6301

The Crappies for Canines Tournament came off without a hitch and it looked like everyone really enjoyed themselves, I know DK and I did emoThumbsup Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this Tx a success and to all those who donated prizes. It was also nice to see the 1st place winners give the big prize money back to the pups emoThumbsup I do hope the weigh-in is at a different place, maybe I won't wreck a prop at the new location, :( We're already looking forward to the next one, emoSmile
