We started out fishing some deepish water around docks and nothing. Moved to a long submerged point and nothing. It was getting dark so we moved shallow to some areas where I've scouted some grass over the last few weeks and started getting bites. We moved around throughout the night including getting under a boat slip to wait out what looked like it was going to be a bad thunderstorm on the radar, but dwindled some before it got to us. Still a pretty steady rain for about 15 or 20 minutes but then OK.

I slow rolled a homemade SB all night and Frank threw plastic worms the whole time.

When I heard Someone say that there was only one bag over 10 pounds, I thought we might place - I was surprised. Frank caught a 4.6 at about 1 o'clock that put us in the money. We had three keepers already in the live well at that point so we were able to cull one of those. We probably caught a total of 20 bass or so, five or six of which were keepers.

Congrats to all who placed and participated. And thanks to the committee for organizing the event.

emoThumbsup thanks again for the invitation. I has a lot of fun, especially with the catfish on a shakey. I just knew it was "the one".

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. That one had us going there for a minute or two.

Congrats on the 3rd place finish, only 0.12 pounds out of 2nd. Knee replacement surgery kept me out of the last 3 tournaments. Frank, you did a great job taking over the backseat for me, I may never get it back ..........

thank you Mr. Masic. hope your knee gets better in time for the Riverpark tourney. I know you and Pete will certainly bring it. I was glad I was able to contribute for third place; it wasn't looking very good for me at first. Pete had the stroke on the spinnerbait and was wearing me out with numbers. And all the credit goes to Pete. He was on fish; otherwise, I was clueless. I haven't been on the lake since spring, but I'm already looking forward to the Riverpark tourney. Not sure about all of the details. I'm wondering if its one or two smallmouth per boat, having not done any homework. regardless, I guess I better figure out where to find some big fatties or some big spots to have any sort of expectation. looking forward to it. had a lot of fun this go round.

Thanks for your note, Frank. Surprised you have not been on the lake since spring. Would have thought you and your dad would be on'em. Hope he is doing well, tell him I said hello. One 18" plus smallie per person, so, if two people are in the boat, you can keep two for the weigh-in.

Regards, Pete Sr. (Nauticman)
