I am interested in what knot every one uses or trusts the best. I have used the Trilene Knot all my life but have had issues with line breaking right after tying hooks and lures on recently. So i am looking for other dependable knots. Thanks in advance!
Tight lines to all!

Correctly------Use [fresh] line and tie it right, I use flurocarbon and tie it to nanofil, with an albright knot and a clinch knot to hook
Pick any knot and tie it Correctly and it will not fail
Musky, Pike, stripe, blue fish and tuna--- no fail---

I remember decades ago, guys complaining about the Trilene knot breaking. I recently saw where- You have to pass the tag end through the loop in the right direction for it to work dependably. Any other way- you can count on it failing. I am stuck in my old ways and almost 90% of the time I use a clinch knot or the Improved clinch knot. I rarely have any issue with them. I draw them down wet and strength test them. If it doesn't break when I pull on it- good to go. Sometimes I use a polymer knot. It is arguably the best. You can also double up on the polymer knot. Double Polymer. I'm sure you can find it on you tube.

Awesome Thanks for all the replies! I am headed to the Hiwassee this weekend for some trout fishing didn't want to waste time re-tying knots in the river!! Thanks a bunch!

I tie different knots depending on what I am typing to. If I am tying to a worm hook I am using a uni or double uni knot as a snell knot on the hook shank. For me, much better hookups than a palomar knot. I still use the palomar knot with spinnerbaits or buzzbaits because those wire frames allow a uni knot to slide around too much. I use the uni to uni to attatch braid to floro and if anything happens to that knot it is usually my fault. I like the uni or double uni knot for most everything else. The uni knot is easy to tie once you learn it, and if you wet it and cinch it down good it is a good knot, but like any of them if you tie it wrong it will not work right.
