Fishing Swap Meet?

Chattanooga Fishing Forum

Help Support Chattanooga Fishing Forum:

For several years I tried to put one together. The Yuge obstacle was Time and Perfect Location. I have resolved all that now. On any Sunday is always the best considering all inputs and seems to have the lesser exceptions. Saturdays conflict with TX.. A Location is Locked in in a Most perfect location with plenty of Parking and abundant Customers ready and waiting.. It is Near Exit #1 at I-75 within one mile of BPS near East Ridge, TN. I have made arrangements with the management of the I-75 Flea Market where you may have seen the Yuge Red/White Tent just off the interstate. The space is off Mack Smith Road behind Kinder's Warehouse. The Management has allotted any available section of the parking lot for special vendors associated with the CFF Fishing Swap Meet. The Normal set up fee on their property is $10.00 per designated space. However, I have a deal where spaces in the designated area will be $5.00 Per space.. Thousands of shoppers visit that Flea Market All day long. Unlike most Flea markets, This market is a mid-day and later market. The Hours are 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Sunday's get a boom of customers between 2 & 5PM. The people who visit this Flea market release their Money well.

I am planning to be set up there Under the tent this coming Saturday with an estimated Thousand High end Crank baits of many varieties. New in the Box Rapala lures sale for less than half price. On Saturday I plan to set out mostly Crank baits and a few dozen Low end fishing rods and reels. (March 31, 2018)

Kick this location around. I will manage the event and put it on the CFF Calendar if you guys are really interested in moving the massive amounts of equipment I assume you all have accumulated. A great place to come to stock up as well. David Worley

Sounds great! But I'm confused. You say, "On any Sunday is always the best considering all inputs and seems to have the lesser exceptions. Saturdays conflict with TX." But say you'll be there Saturday?

That just mean you'll be there both days?

Richard. I see it was a bit confusing. I was stating I would be at the Location and set up under the tent selling a Few of the Items I have on hand. The intent was for anyone interested, They could come by, see the location and discuss a proposal for CFF Members.

Kickerfish - 3/14/2018 12:43 PM Do you guys know if anyone does a fishing type swap meet around here? If not, what do you think about doing one? -Would you attend a swap meet? -Would you sell products at a swap meet? I was thinking about organizing one if there isn't currently something of the sort going on because I don't want to steal anyone's thunder. I think this would be a good opportunity to find some good deals on fishing equipment, because after all, we can use a good deal and more equipment, right? Also, this would provide everyone an opportunity for some fellow fishermen fellowship, and would give us an opportunity to de-clutter the garage. I'm just trying to test the water here so please let me know what you think. If you are interested in organizing a meet, feel free to PM me.

I sincerely apologize for stealing your Thunder. I read the thread after I had already established a most perfect location for a Swap Meet event.. As mentioned in some of the comments, We have attempted to get a meet set up for almost a decade. I was the original member who has brought this up several times in Old threads. I came back active after I had secured the location to list the Meet without fully understanding you were attempting to do the same..

I would gladly have you pick up here and to allow me to assist you with this event. We could use the help from each other to make this thing a huge success.

.Finally, after years, this may happen.

Do you have a time for setting up? I’m interested and will swing by to check it out. Will this be a reaccuring event? I would like to bring some of my baits to try and sell as well.

This Location has an existing on-going inside and outside flea market on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. This event is at the same location, But across the Parking lot along the South edge of the parking lot and seperate from the normal activities of the Business. This is a CFF Swap meet of our members and anyone who desires to come out to be a vendor or buyer . I would suggest that you arrive at approximately 7:00 AM for several reasons. Setting up in a choice location and to be assured to get there in time to find all those things you have been needing without realizing it.

The Normal Crowd that visits that Flea market will be shopping in our area as well as the CFF members who come out. Without exaggeration there is approximately a Thousand shoppers who visit that location All day long.. Many Flea markets are daylight to whenever. This location is noted for the vast majority of shoppers showing up after Church and Lunch on every Sunday. The crowds do not stop coming all day. Seriously. You may come at any time and go whenever you Like. But the opportunities only get better or best between 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on a pleasant weather Sunday. I am there most every Sunday and I know how it functions.

I will be the contact person at the site to assist in setting up locations and for collecting the Set-up fee for the property Owners. As mentioned, the Fee is Half the normal fee for vendors at their Flea Market. The Fee is $5.00 Per allotted Space that will be approximately 10' x 12' (Unmarked). Two or more spaces may be available as space allows.

I would certainly recommendthat we have at least an Annual Springtime event. Myself as well as the management at the Location are very interested in seeing how this CFF Swap Meet works out. If we get the vendor turn out as I can only hope. I feel based on discussion with the Business, We may could achievea status whereas we at CFF could schedulean event or as many events as we desire with a standinginvitation.
