Which ford dealership has the best service? I haven't had the greatest luck with marshal mize or mtn view.

I should clarify and state I am having issues getting a warranty issue taken care of.

I've considered Chatsworth. I have purchased from them also so that may help. Little bit of a drive but that's about my only options at this point.

It is now Cleveland Ford. If two dealers have denied your warranty claim, it likely means Ford is telling those dealers it won't pay for the repair.

Bought it from mtn view. They wanted to charge $120 for 5 min of time to listen to the truck after spending 20k only 8 weeks prior. Just listen not diagnose. Marshall listened to it, guy even met me after hours, heard the issue and said mechanic needed to listen. Kept truck for 2 days and said couldnt duplicate the issue. Had to pretty much show up to get any info about what was going on. Very poor communication. Warranty is a ford warranty good at any dealer same as a new vehicle warranty.

Service advisor acknowledged an issue outside of the dealership and when they had the truck claimed the issue couldnt be duplicated. I will not go back to Marshall mize for lack of communication. I shouldn't have to show up to check on my truck.

One of my co workers had the same issue with the same motor last year. He stayed on top of them about it. And MAN View made it right and replaced his engine. But, his was brand new.

They do. 97k. You don't hear about many problems with the phasers. Everything I have read is cylinder distortion which equals replacing the engine or living with the noise.

Yes. It was a ticking sound. That 5.0 is a great motor over all. Trick with any motor with cam phaser is to always keep the oil full as they run off oil pressure.

Just to update this thread. Mtn view has had my truck since the first of the year with the exception of about two weeks. A reman engine, new intake manifold, and timing chain tensioners in a new engine with less than 1k miles on it have been done. Not without much fight and hassle. This engine is worse than the original engine and needs to come out in my opinion. Mtn view ford has pretty much told me the noise is normal and nothing else they can do for me. I'm trying to get them to make this right but it doesn't appear they want to take care of me anymore. I am trying to keep this private before before going public with it on social media. If anyone has advise on how to get my $20k truck fixed I'm all ears. Beyond exhausted, and frustrated at this point.

Current running condition that is normal according to mtn view ford shop foreman and service manager.
