Frog rod/Punch rod

I have an original Daiwa Tatula Frog Rod and I love that thing for most walking baits including frogs. The rod is 7-4 which is a little longer than some would like, but I am 6-4 so it works well for me. Also a great buzzbait rod, as a co-angler I have to make due with one rod for multiple things it also makes a very good c-rig rod. I have punched at Chick with it and I found it to be a little uncomfortable. I would love to test flip a Cashion in a punch rod, I just got a 7 ft Med heavy Cashion a few weeks ago and the thing is a bit tip heavy for me. In have punched with the 7-6 Duckett heavy and it works ok with it, but I only punch 2 times a year so no need to have a dedicated rod for it. I have the Dobyns 735 as well and while it is rated up to a ounce and a half I think that rod feels overloaded with anything over 3/4 of an oz to me.

Go see Johnny at DJ’s and pick up the F90474b for frogging and the F90676 for flipping/punching emothumbsup.
