If you need gas you better get it quick. They are limiting the amount you can get where I work at in Lafayette. Kind of funny that oil prices dropped to near $100 a barrel and gas prices have gone back up.

a lot of places are putting a $$ limit on the pumps if you pay with your debit card. ive had it happen to me a few times when getting diesel. pump shuts off at $75 and ive still got a 1/4 tank to go......

I just filled up on Amnicola and they had a sign on the pumps asking that you limit your transaction to 10 gallons. But, its on the honor system...

I know that it went up 15 cents at one station in the last hour in Soddy-Daisy. The Wal-Mart and GG had not changed, yet. I guess the oil companies will find something to blame the price increases on.

Lord, that just makes it worse when they post it. Now everybody wether they need gas or not is going to buy some, increasing demand and running it up even more! emoBang

looks like the oil companies plan has worked then.......making us all run out and top er' off in case the world ends.....lol

I just want to say that anyone that goes and tops off their gas over this is just a puppet in a stupid game. All it does is show how weak and addicted we are to gas. There is no fundamental reason for gas prices to go up other than the fact that people will go pay it. I guess we will all have to go buy mopeds.

I just filled up the truck and car, 80 for the diesel and 20 for the car, it was a madhouse at the Daily station in Kimball, around 20 to 25 cars in line, the manager said the gas might go to $6.00 a gallon by midnight.

Every Gas station you could see from Jenkins Road to Trenton was COVERED up. 3-4 in line at each pump. Got to Rising Fawn and there was hardley any one there at the Pilot or BP. I usually get gas on thursdays but I filled up yesterday. This picture is from the only gas station in the lil town I grew up in. The station is built on the old Buster Brown parking lot there was cars all over the place. the police and fire dept was directing traffic and alot of the stations are out of gas

You hit the nail on the head.

SPur here is my theory. Everyone fills up tonight. Then over the next two days no gas buyers. Well the refineries in TX are 25% of what we produce. The rest will still keep producing, if no one is buying it for two days, the demand will go down, the price will again go down. I think people want the worst. It happened with Katrina and Rita, large spike followed by lower prices. With our economy, no one can afford higher prices, i think the lower demand will keep it straight after a short time. Good news, The Saudis walked out of OPEC today, maybe we can get some competition from these oil countries.

Most of the area is out of Regular Unleaded. Lets see how ol supply and demand effects prices in the next few days. Should get interesting.

I have a solution for all this price madness, emoBang Leave the cars and trucks, and that includes the boats, in the driveway 'till Monday, I guarantee that the prices would come down. But no, the soccer moms and lots of others just can't stay at home, they just gotta go, go, go, and the oil companies have this figured out. Most of the American people will buy gas to go instead of food 'cause they gotta GO, GO, GO. So as long as we're payin' the oil bas****ds are laughing all the way to the bank, emoEnforce
