So what your Doc and Bigfish are saying is, if there has been wrongdoing in the past, its okay to do wrong now? So much for Obama's claim..."The buck stops with me"

I'll quit living in the past when the republicans start living in the present and start helping with the present problems and quit sitting on their hands and saying no to everything that comes down the pike.

No need for the Republicans to even try Doc. Your boys have all the marbles and all the power. Put up or shut up. You have the votes. Make something happen without the Republicans. Why can't you? Huh? Many others and me have been asking this question for months. Stop blaming the Republicans and grow a pair. Put up or shut up!

What are the republicans in office for? They are elected just like the democrats, all they are doing is taking up space and breathing someone else's air, whining, bitchin and moaning and saying "No" to everything. Why don't they just resign? They are useless.

Proven connections vs. spurious/grasping at straws.

Good effort, keep up the work at trying to smear. emoPoke

You are absolutely right Doc. The Republicans are useless. It is because they have no power. We have an excuse.

Please do tell us all EXACTLY what the excuse is for your heros. The democrats have the power to get things done but yet NOTHING is happening.

Once again you cannot or will not answer this question. WHY?

PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

I will still call republicans what they are, nothing, they just sit in the way of progress, just like right now. They started this mess and handed it over to your new president, Obama. They will filibuster any bill that comes up to death, just to get their way which is nothing. You would think they would help their own kind in the USA but they won't, they care nothing for you, all they want is your vote and you tag along with your vote slobering like a mad dog hopeing to get thrown a bone but they don't care, they have theirs and you can get yours. I have a new name for the republicans, "The American Taliban" they stand in the way of everything, throw the wrench in anything that tries to get done. Just like today, one of them stood in the way of letting every worker in the USA from getting unemployment benefits and everyone getting these benefits ar not democrats, probably around 50/50. See how they take care of their own plus everyone else, just to show their ass. You love it too for you take up for this new Taliban, live with it.

Doc I like you man but you ar way the hell out of line with this statment

I have a new name for the republicans, "The American Taliban I am mostly republican and so is a lot of other people I know and none of use are like that. I take serious offence to that.

Bubba, I have heard democrats being called every name in the book since this political forum was started, I saw all the hahahhaha's every day, you people eat it up and made more names, now the shoe is on the other foot. I am a democrat, not demonrat as some call me or my party, my president's and yours is Obama, not obumer. I will never change from what I am just like you will never change. I have heard for over a year now how the republicans are so perfect, they should be in power, they are not perfect and they are not in power, live with it just like I and all the democrats lived under Bush rule. Our country is in a heap of trouble, we are in a deep hole and need to get out, everyone is hurting, some more than others and I see every day where the republicans are still sitting on their laurels and doing nothing when the democrats are trying to help this country. We can't go on like this for 3 more years untill the republicans run someone else and maybe get back in power and if the republicans did get back in power, what would they do differently since they have all the answers? Not a damn thing. They couldn't go by their record, they have no record. Now getting back to me calling the republicans, talibans, I will keep calling them this untill this nonsence stops on both sides. This forum shouldn't be on here, this is a fishing forum not a democrat or republican bashing forum. This forum needs to be pulled, it serves no good at all and never will. There was a lot of members on here who didn't want it when it started, myself included but the powers that be on here thought they had the upper hand on being republicans thought this is a good way to put the democrats in the hole and started their name calling. Let's get rid of this forum before things get worse than they are today, I'll be the first to vote against this forum, you can follow suite or vote to keep it, it is your choice.

I see you are not talking against it, do you love controversy? Do you want to see this forum grow or do you want to see it get deeper in the muck?

I really don't see the US government beating Toyota up for no reason. I believe there is a serious problem with Toyota's vehicles. I have never owned a foreign made vehicle and hope that I never do. Its everyone's choice to buy what they want, but I want to support the USA every chance I get. To each their own and I hope Toyota gets their stuff together. emoUSA

Ok Gary, we can do this on the open forum if you like.

No, I dont think if a person participates in here with some dignity, that the forum is a bad thing. If you do, why cant you control yourself and avoid it?

Here are some facts for you.

Fact: Page views, and unique users to the site are WAY up on CFF in the past year.
Fact: Membership, in the past 12 months, is growing at a faster pace than any other time.
Fact: Unfortunately for Democrats, outdoorsman and fisherman are overwhelmingly Republicans. (I know, must be because Spurhunter is controlling their minds huh?) But yes, a political forum on one of these sites will lean heavily conservative.
Do I think that it is solely because me and Adam have done anything special, not especially. I do believe there have been some improvements in areas, but the simple fact is that the forum IS growing, and participation is up. Go to any number of similar sites, you will see the active portion of users is right in line with CFF. I am a member of 10 or more forums, and only post on 2 or 3.

Debate in this country is a good thing, heck we teach it in High School and college, even celebrate it. But with debate teams and competitions comes rules; You cant take it, or make it personal.

Who knows if somebody reading this forum on either side of the debates reads something that makes them get up one morning and say, "I AM going to run for that office and make a difference". Voicing ideas and concerns amongst like-minded people, (fishing and outdoors) does in fact breed awareness, and even compromise.

I for one dont know everything about politics, or even US history for that matter. I HAVE learned some things by reading these posts from the likes of Outcaster, Beetlespin and others.

You say "change" is a great thing for our country, but you are deadset against change on a public forum that celebrates the lives and interests of local fisherman? Kind of seems one-sided to me. You want nothing to evolve, except for our overall way of life in this country, thanks to Democrats being elected to run the country, but not in one small group of 5K people in South East TN?
Does not the Democratic party believe in free speech?...the "Fairness Doctrine"?

So I say again, please dont open or read this forum if it offends you to the point of raising your blood pressure and lashing out at people as individuals.

Spur, I see from your post above that you love contraversy, you love to see bad feelings done to others. I will say again, this political forum is bad news to CFF, but you see different. I remember over a year a go before the election that a few posts were made about politics and whoever was running the site got on ans said that the very next post that was made, the poster would be barred, now after that someone thought it was a fantastic idea and made a political forun as it is today. Posters that were on cff quit posting about fishing or anything else and they have stayed off. Why can't CFF go back to that day when it was forbidden? I think someone on here loves to see this name calling, bashing, etc. Maybe they get their jollies by wanting this. Get rid of this forum. You have over 4000 members but about a dozen posters, you may have a bunch of readers but not users or posters. Where are these 4000 members, why aren't they posting, asking fishing and hunting questions. I can see this but you can't. Look again at people you have fished with and see how many of them post now. They quit posting for some reason. Get rid of this forum.
