Have you visited the bassfishinghomepage.com? Usually lots of reports there, especially right now with this weather we are having.

As it stands right now I will be going either tomorrow or Saterday and try my luck. I will post what I catch and on the 12th I will let you all know what on!emoLaugh emoLaugh I just love this sport.....emoTongue Jmax

Naw... it has already been said but to say it again go to Bass Fishing Home page and click on "Fishing reports" than click on AL and look for the big G.emoThumbsup

We did ok in mud creek, the deep weed edges seem to work best. they moved up a little as it warmed up but they still seemed a little reluctant. we started in 8ft and slowly worked up to about 4ft using traps, tubes, suspending minnow baits. never did find a strong pattern. hope it helps.

Anybody fishin Saturday??
I think we will trailer up to Stevenson saturday morning and fish Crow creek maybe Rogers creek and Mud creek and see what happens. I've never fished that far up so its unknown territory.

I plan to hit crow and mud as well and than a couple secret spots.(Sceerd yet?)emoEvil Looks like I will be going Saturday. I am not sure what to try so I plan to try several baits and locations as well as depths to get a feel of what I want to do next weekend.emoThumbsup

If my wife feels better, I may try and go Saturday. Although I doubt she will. Yall guys becareful, the water is down here also, its not up like it normally is. If you go to Crow, stay in the channel while running!!!

Crow is notorious for staying nasty, while the river was nearly clear...

Water temps were in the 51-53 degree range (last Sat.) im sure they have probably rose a degree or two since then. Me and a buddy went to BB Comer this past Tuesday, depending on were you were at you would find 52-55 degree water.

Went to Mud Creek last Sat. and had a great day (12 fish including a 6lb, and 2 3lb) on white spinner bait. Went yesterday and only caught 4 (1 on spinerbait, 1 jerkbait, 2 on fluke). All fish were on flats in less than 5 feet of water. The 6 was in about a foot of water.

Keep the guntersville reports coming, Those of us fishing cff3 next week need all the reports we can get.

The shallow pattern seems to be holding strong! Now thats my kinda fishing!!!

Still lookin' for some big bags Saturday!

I usually fish the middle lake, but this time of the year I spend most of my time in the lower end where the water is a little clearer. Tip of the day.

Fished Guntersville today with a cold and windy start. The wind died down about 10 and it warmed up to a pleasant day. The shallow bite was not there. All of our fish came off river ledges. We caught 8 bass with 4 over 4 pounds and had a best 5 of 20+or -. Had to leave a couple of groups biting to save for the weekend. We used 1/2 and 3/4 lipless crankbaits and a non-keeper was caught on a 1/2 oz spinnerbait.

I fished at Crow a lil and Mud a lil , from shore today (3-7-06), Had a service call down there today .. did catch couple in the 16-17 inch range in mud near a bridge.. and crow near a ramp, caught mine on one of my own crankbaits in some size and some color, .. saw alot of shad activity in the areas I fished .. my bites came in both less than 5 and more than 5 ..  maybe they will be there again Sat .. and maybe bigger.

Last year, the water was waaaaaay up, the dock at Crow was under about 2 ft of water, the post were barely out of the water. I went anyway, pulled up and there was a guy sitting on the ramp fishing. Had a stringer with some nice size keepers on it. I asked him, were you catching them at? He said, right out there around them posts...;) I've caught some good fish right around the dock there, before the grass gets too high.

The same fella asked me what happened to the dock that "used" to be there...I told him that he was catching his fish from around the posts, that is where the dock is, its just underwater. :)

That was the same weekend that I caught some nice fish out of a corn field...I love it when the water is up like that...;)

Hey there tarheel, that is a good weight for a day on the water. Those professional guides can really put you on some good fish. I have never used one but it sounds like Troy J./Angling Alabama based on what you two put in the boat must be a good one.emoLaugh How much did that set ya back?emoScratch You are going to need to win just to repay you for what you spent. That's one way to learn the lake right the first time. I wished I could go with you tomorrow just to see what you had learned.emoThumbsup Jmax

Thanks for the report. Let us know how you do tomorrow.emoTongue

That does sound just like the report from Troy J's post on anglerworld.com. LOL. Thats pretty funny. Come on Tarheel, let us know if that was you. Don't be ashamed, I have fished w/ Troy a few times to learn a certain technique. See report 7/20/05.

Hey guys cut him some slack...emoRedface Yes I told on him but he did P.M. me to tell me he had the trip scheduled before he ever saw the paper with us in it and he did not know there was a CFF3 tournament at the Big G until after he signed onto the forum. We have all had our guides in one way or another, a freind, a dad, a buddy, ex...emoSmile Last year I took a guy out on the Chick that asked me to because he had a tournament and had only fished it once. I'm no pro and I didn't charge him anything but he came in second. I was just giving tarheel a hard time letting him know I knew.emoPoke I guess if you want to flip the bill you can go for it too. If tarhell blows us away I am going to expect a full report and I don't even have to pay for it.emoLaugh Tarheel is new to the sport of bass fishing and said he needs all the help he can get since most of us has been doing this a little while.emoCool Jmax
