Guntersville?

I went down to Gunt. today because I had never fished it before and wanted to make sure I could find the ramp and some fish. It looks like I might just be making a donation on Saturday. The wind today was horrible, 4 ft rollers on the river. Heck it even knocked my brand new crankbait retriever in the river. I only caught 2 fish and only one of them was a keeper. I tried Crow Creek and Racoon Creek. You guys weren't kidding about staying in the creek channels, 3 feet out from it and the water is only inches deep.

I may really be struggling this weekend. :(

I did find some nice areas, but with it being so windy and the water out of the bouys being so shallow I was a bit leary of trying to work around. I really should have taken someone that knows the lake.

I did just get a few new "super top secret" baits. I will show you guys after the tourney. You will absolutely freak out when you see how good these things look and the action is perfect. Of course, I don't know if it'll catch any fish.

I will probably struggle too. Going down Friday to look at it, unless it is off limits for a day before practice.emoScratch

No such restrictions. No off limits. Anglers we have tried to keep it simple and cheap. If you have a partner at $20 a head you spend more than that going to the show. For you new members we thought that there was enough big money tournaments without making the CFF one of those. With what you are going to win with us you cover your expenses and might have enough to take the family out eating. We decided to try and keep it that way so it would be more fun and people would share info.emoGeezer Face it, check around there are plenty of big money tournaments around if that is what you want to do. Ours is more fun centered, family, Christian, fellowship, have fun, rib each other, bragging rights, and maybe win a couple dollars tournament.emoBigsmile We do not want to get it too complicated with a bunch of rules. Let's just have an honest, fun get togather and fish for a little competition. I think if we keep it that way no matter how big we get we will not loose site of why Dhaun started this in the first place.emoTongue Jmax

I agree Jmax i think the Bragging rights is more fun than the $$$. But when your as broke as i am you'll be happy winning .25c emoBigsmile

That lake has a way of changing quickly this time of year. Warm weather, rising water temps., rains coming in tom. night all these things could change everything. The fish have that natural urge to start moving towards their bedding areas, they cant deny it, something will trigger it, I think a heavy, warm rain may be just the thing.

I think your right Flip, the area could use a good soaker and get the water levels up some, but in turn...we know what some of the areas around Stevenson look like after a heavy rain, especially Crow...emoRolleyes
