I have some friends i have'nt seen in a few yrs and there camping at HBSP. They asked me if i would take them fishing this tuesday, so i sayed sure why not. Well i have'nt been to that area of the chick. Any advise would be greatfull............THKS

There are quite a few productive sloughs in either direction coming out of HBSP, if you want to fish shallow (0-15 ft).

If you want to go deeper, pick up a contour map and you'll find numerous humps, points, and creek channels within 2 miles of the ramp.

Or you can head up Wolftever Creek...

And the banks around the HBSP boat ramp can be good too...lots of stumps and points.

Go to the back ends of just about any slough around HB... or back in Wolftever. Rig light line with bream hooks and light weight (1/8th or less). Drag wax worms (or crickets) in 3-6 feet of water in the back end of sloughs (corners and pockets). I assure you that you will find some big bull bream. Great fun... Once you locate a bed and determine depth, you can put floats on if preferable. But beds are easy to locate dragging the bottom to begin with.
