like i said a game camera or a couple of guys sitting in the woods could solve this.

i think tying them to a telephone pole with a big sign saying "thief" would get the point across

I had a platoon full of Forward Observers. We can make this happen lol

I agree with Derek- most Ive dealt with are rude and useless. I cant believe this happened at a state park.
We have the converters stolen at work all the time on our delivery trucks. Ive watch them on our security cameras, They can get them off fairly quick but there are sparks flying everywhere. I cant believe no one saw this.

We could tell county cops they are speeding in the park they might show up to run radar and accidentally catch them.

anyone know if there is an open wifi network around there? game cameras that send pics would work, be a lot of pics im sure with all the traffic through that lot.

at this point i think its unlikely the park rangers are going to do much to stop this.

They have a good Wi-Fi signal in that area of the park. The problem this time of year is that there is so little traffic through the lot. Just a handful of trucks/trailers at the most on the real cold days and the thieves take advantage if it. The cameras are a good idea unless they get stolen also.

I just saw this on FB where the same problems are happening at a ramp in Georgia.

Over the last two years I’ve had three taillights taken off my Triton boat trailer at the Wolftever ramp. Not all that expensive to replace them but really annoying.

It would be fun to catch the fools under a truck cutting the converter loose and start wailing on their kneecaps with a baseball bat or crowbar.

Ive already thought of this. I use game cameras, Cellular ones. I could just put one on my head rest facing backward and I would get instant notification on my phone, Complete with pics. I wonder if affixing one of my old cell cams under my truck would discourage the converter thieves..?

They're dumbass crackheads so probably not, they'd probably steal the camera too.

i think if you put it in the truck and they break into the truck it will probably get gone as well, hard to say but you'd have pics of them stealing it
