HDS5 network

Just installed my 2nd HDS5 and connected them with an ethernet cable. What has to be done so that they share waypoint information? Put the Gen2 in the dash and moved the Gen1 to the front. Each has its own transducer. When I turn the Gen1 on in my driveway it goes right to my street. The Gen2 does not seem to be finding it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

figured it out. Had to restart the system with everything turned on. I now have my exact location and all way points on both units.

I'm purchasing a new boat and I purchased the HDS-7 with Structure Scan and the Sonar Imaging Bundle and told them to place it in the Console. I also purchased a HDS-5 GPS/Plotter and told them to place that in the Bow of the boat. Can I network the two so the HDS-5 Reads what the 7 Reads?

are lowrance products good. i have always used the hummingbird 797's

I get all the information I need from my Lowrance units. I think they have a good product. You will see those who have their preferences here. Some prefer Humminbird and others prefer Lowrance.
