I was always told if they break in knowing your home. They are not afraid to hurt you.

He should be given an award! Probably saved his own life or someone else's. If I was guessing it probably wasn't going to be the last time they did this. He did his entire community a favor and made it a safer place for everyone.

Rule #1 is never bring a knife to a gun fight. I guess Rule #2 is now don't bring brass knuckles. You can't fix stupid. Someone w/ the nads to break into my house prepared to do me bodily harm w/ his hands deserves a couple (always 2) rounds. That grandpa is lucky it wasn't a shotgun. I think the homeowner should charge the grandfather for the cost of cleaning up after the perps. Just sayin' . . .
