Every time I log on, I come across a thread that has had a post deleted. Don't get me wrong, I understand the mod's stepping in to eliminate conflict. However, I like to rubberneck at the pile-up on the side of the road just like the rest of you. Rather than staring at the PC going "Ooooooh

, wonder what he said!", wouldn't it be nice to have a forum to store all theses jabs in

I agree, especially since it was my post that was deleted. And I swear it wasn't that bad. I think I just told MB instead of throwing spots on the bank he could just haul them around all day, let them die in his live well, and call it "tournament mortality" and it should ethically be ok with the tournament fishermen and Resource Officers. I may have mentioned that Missouri smallmouth are identified as "usually having a rough patch on tongue". I think I even copied the actual verbage from MO's website. I did not mention anyone's name. It was a rather "tongue (patch) in cheek" humor that went awry I guess.

I was actually perplexed about all the people giving him a hard time about admitting to throwing some on the bank.

I guess my life on this forum may be about one day. If everyone is this touchy, I really don't want to be a part of it. Then everyone can say "good riddance" I suppose. I noticed I didn't get the "welcomes" that others have received on here.

Is that better? :) I'm sure you would have had a welcome post, if you would of maybe introduced yourself, but instead you went headlong into a somewhat intense conversation, that truly not that many people were a part of (4-5 people going back and forth). There is nothing wrong with that, but I'm sure once your first fishing report comes along, you'll get a big welcome if that is what you are looking for.

Thanks for joining and looking forward to posts and reports from you!

Whataspot, I will have to agree with Bprice on this one. Most folks will post "hey I am a new member" type thing, or post a report. You will be welcomed with open arms like all that have come before. This whole spot thing has been beat to death, not just on that thread, but many others, and unfortunatly you stumbled into the issue without knowing the whole history. Give us a chance here, you will really enjoy it I believe.

How about a deleted wives forum? Exactly, some things need to just go away.

emoUpsmile emoUpsmile Got a couple entries for that one myself! In all seriousness, the meaning of the printed word can be very difficult to pinpoint sometimes. We rely heavily on visual clues and voice inflection to understand exactly what someone means in our normal conversations, and that is totally missing in emails and forum discussions. I personally put a lot of effort into chosing the right word to convey an idea in print, and I read it back to see if it says what I really wanted it to, and STILL I sometimes don't send the meaning that I thought I had. I really try to take this into account with most posts and try hard not to take quick offense at what I think (at first glance) the author said, and try to read the post in different ways to see if I had mistaken how something was meant. Just a couple of my thoughts that may help us from jumping too fast!

"Good afternoon!"
"May I introduce myself?"
"With a story to be told you may need help"
"I know you were a headline for some time"
"But now you're part of a motionless mime"

Now how does the rest of that go?

Boy, talking about "getting off on the wrong foot". Not that it matters at this point.
Fishnfool is a verrrry smart man. Just thought I would throw that out there.

If any of you guys see fishinmagician or perchjerker tell them not to stop trying to straighten out this black bass ID fiasco that "a certain unnamed agency from the lower 48" has successfully created and has come to a head less than 4 weeks after enactment. Those guys (fm and pj) are smart men. If you really think about it, they could use some help.

And I am speaking on the level of the "certain unnamed agency" and not any specific "tournament" level.

I was just trying to be funny by posting a blank reply in this thread. emoSorry to whoever that offended.

I've been on this forum for 2 years and never had a post deleted until yesterday. Seems like there is some really thin skin around here recently. I mean I didn't even post a word, just emotion icon, and it got deleted. emoScratch

Just a little reminder of a post of Spurhunter's..

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

beetlespin - 3/20/2008 12:48 PMSeems to be too much sensitivity on this forum. Maybe you should all start taking birth control pills or estrogen shots to calm your moods a little.

Are you telling me that I missed another deleted post...on my own thread

Since I can't catch fish, why won't you guys allow me to have the record for most deleted posts? There is another thread that I would LOVE to post on, but I promised Bbass I would be good.
