How is the grass coming along this year?

No sweat Rusty. I will say I was a little disappointed in the amount of mid lake grass between HBSPand Chester frost though. It’s out there but seemed spotty compared to years past. Hoping it’s just a little early.

Man, this thread is WAY more interesting than the title lets on. I am very skeptical that there is any effective defoliant that doesn’t have serious environmental/health risks.

There is a class action lawsuit against Paraquat/Diquat right now. These chemicals induce Parkinson's tremors when ingested and it seems long term effects are a driver for this lawsuit. Aqua Services sprays Diquat in the lake and the RED TAG says it is safe to swim directly after application, but you can't drink the water for 5 days. That just doesn't make much sense.

Here is on of the class lawsuit websites:

Where do you think your drinking water comes from? But the real shock lies in the fact that our local water companies dont even test the water for chemicals like that.....true story

LOL!!! of course they dont test it, they dont care! really, they add a KNOWN neurotoxin (flouride) to the water.

getting back on topic to op's question.. its starting to come up in HBSP.. was doing a search yesterday and it is coming up in 10ft of water.. its not thick but def coming up

It looks like the grass is going to do alot better this year. I have gone a few times and find myself mowing grass in a lot of areas I haven't seen good grass for about 3 years.
I am also catching the more fish and nice size ones in areas I havent in the last few years. I think this Spring had alittle nicer weather when the water was down and gave the grass a good start. Plus not as much rain.
But hopefully it continues and Chickamauga gets better this year.
