Humps on the main lake?

Oh man, and I gave away my hush-hush top secret (cooling towers) secret! I don't mind a bit if I get neighbors - IF THEY HAVE THE COURTESY TO ASK! If they act like I'm not there, then there will probably be words about learning courtesy. Bait fishing, especially for cats, is different. There you have to be real friendly 'cause there's 20 or more boats within spitting distance, and it's just part of the area and method.

Its 30 ft. If you are anchored with your trolling motor up, 50 yds. If anchored and trolling motor down, thats not considered anchored. 30 ft. is nothing.

we had a tx there last weekend caught alot of numbers no size . The keepers we did catch (2) came in deeper water or deeper water near by. Hope it helps.

Channel drops, seems like the bigger fish are staying deep. Try a big worm or lizard, crankbaits, and big spinnerbaits. If its sunny, flip docks (on the main lake) with tubes, jigs, and finesse worms ... that should give you a limit, if no luck, find a cove with cover and pick up a limit. Then focus on the big boys for the rest of the day. Try points as well as walls on the main lake and dont forget the channel drops. Good luck!

tnnman281, if you don't have the time to search out some deep water hot-spots, consider flippin'. The water is up and there is a ton of newly flooded brush and laydowns. Also, running a dock pattern in the coves or Wolftever would be great for a bluebird day.

I fished Wolf Tever last week in the middle of the day, theres a spot with a rock bluff that has cover all over it. I flipped an 8in pumpkin green finesse worm t-rigged right into the cover and would pull a fish out every other cast. The docks back there are good too. The best fish came from laydowns, be sure to flip the laydowns from every direction b/c there will be some keepers in them. I caught tons of fish, most were small, but I did lose some good keepers for sure. If you can find that one bluff w/ all the cover, you'll have a limit of spots in no time. If you do hit the Wolf, as soon as you go under the bridge, turn to the right and flip back up in the little inlet, I usually pull a keeper out of there. Good luck again!
