buzz - 11/26/2013 11:47 AM Same place we looked at for a lease? That didn't work out? Ah, Van Buren County....where the shots ring out, at 9....PM that is.

Buzz this land is actually directly north of the Land I attempted to lease and connects to it. It is totally different ownership. That land if you will recall was foreclosed on as we were viewing it.. I was able to hunt that 500 acres successfully until just this year. I have had this land from years prior to that attempt to share that property next to here with CFF members. That lease property is better than here, If I still had the opportunity I could avoid most of this drama by staying over there.. As far as 9:00 pm shots.. Not likely since the game warden and his family control the land on two sides and extreme controlled no hunting is on one side and with a steel gate controlling the last side. All the control is the very reason I can allow Ten Eight point Bucks walk by. And even post videos on You-tube. >>> This is where I tried to allow for you to hunt...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSnu01oL7XA

Got it. As for the shots at night, pehaps that game warden should sit close to the Spencer Water Resavoir, our lease borders the lake....and yep...on any given night...you can hear late night shots.

Prentice cooper is loaded with monster bucks.. Hunt there? These are all just suggestions to help with your dramatic situation.

You are either being sarcastic or you missed my thread about how bad PC WMA sucks now...

Unfortunately, this is exactly why hunting land is hard to come by. Not much in it for a landowner except drama and unwanted liability, even when it's of no fault of the hunter with permission.

Todd is correct. I am not saying this is your fault at all but this is exactly why it is getting harder and harder to get land. You are doing right by trying not to involve the land owner. I doubt he wants to deal with this at all.

Landowners start caring when you start writing them checks. If you just have permission to hunt the land then the land owners will not want to deal with it. That's why it is good in my opioun to always lease the land that way you do have a little leverage when it comes to things like this. Everybody loves money if you don't believe go try to take someone's! Lol

That's what I was beating around on.
We have 300+acres in western ky wich happens to be where they are predicting the next world record whitetail to come from. The property tax is stupid expensive, but we choose not to deal with all the crap that comes from a bunch of city slickers stirring shat with all the niehbors.

Liveliner, you situation is unfortunate. This happens to be more and more common all across the country. I try to find places people can't/won't go for a deer, or better yet wouldn't even think of hunting!

dealing with it right now myself. My honeyhole that I have had in my family my entire life and killed many great deer is in he same situation. He even has his brother bring his dogs and try to run deer back their way. It is the hardest thing to deal with. I only get 1 day a week to hunt when in school and has ruined 75 percent of them this season. You got to be careful how you deal with it these days because where I work, if I get into a fight I am very likely to lose my job. I am a hunter and fisher to the bone, but that comes behind being a husband and supporting my wife, so with that being said be careful Liveliner, people with nothing to lose can only look up.

Thanks Wetaline. The root of my problem is an azz who knows I have the best deer crossing smack in the middle of my area and he has no access to trespass with me there... He wants the area without permission to trespass. The way the Bucks enter my area is straight out of the gulf where they are never disturbed. They will not go his direction to his property. I will not allow him to harass more than he does.. he does fear the Game warden and the charge of Stalking and the charge of Hunter Harassment. Hendon has crazy Barfield to do his dirty work.. They got the Corn up totally. and no pics on the trail cam...
