Hunting Crappie with Kid

starting to crappie fish with my son, and need to make sure i put him on some fish to keep his attention. if i go to the wolftever bridge near harrison, is under the bridge the best place and just test depths? i will be on the bank, so i dont know if there is also areas down the creek we can walk that might produce better catches? any advice is much appreciated. Thank you

The bridge is the best place to start. However if you drive to the back of the Wolftever Ramp Parking lot and walk down the shore, you will be where the Wolftever Creek Channel swings into the west bank. Fishing along that breakline could potentially be good if your timing is right.
