Can't get my bearings when throwing towards banks and spend as much time in the trees as not emoScratch Most comfortable on grass flats in the middle of the lake but still not success. A confidence problem probably. Do you sucessful night fishermen usually use the same techniques as day fishing except maybe darker colors? This is the time of year I start hitting it at night to avoid the crowds but definitely would like to start catching a few to make it worth the lack of sleep!! emoSmile

I don't but have looked at those that attached via suction cups.
Spend the money and get you the best light money can buy. A Moonlite "full moon" with the green light and you'll see the bank and your line. Johnny @ DJ's will have the best price, let him know you're a forum member. He'll have the cig lighter plug and the center male jack type too. Both models have the suction cups.

I may have to do that. Johnny did a great how with my electronics. Does running black lights pull much juice from the battery? Thanks
They're all LED, sucking mili amps maybe. Your start battery won't even notice the amp draw.

Be prepared for the coating of bugs everywhere if a good dew falls, mostly knat's.

Might I suggest that you get off the banks. Find stumpy flats and main lake points. Offshore humps and other structure are great too.

My success went way up whenever I started finding areas off the bank to fish. Might be worth a trip or two with someone who knows how to do these things and is willing to share with you. A good topo map is mandatory.

Just my opinion, but I would say location would change your luck the most. Personally black lights don’t do anything for me. Plus I don’t like having to change my line over ,to fluorescent line,to use it. I’ll stick with my fluoro and exceptional feel when night fishing.

I like fishing lighted docks at night. I like using weightless senkos (Black/blue flake), shakeyhead, and bigger worms T-rugged worms. I use darker colors at night and will use a small rattle in worm. Good luck!
