My first "Pledge" was to the Cub Scouts, then Boy Scouts, second was when I was Baptized, third was when I went into the military,Blue Lodge and so on. I have joined several orginizations and groups in the past 65 years and all have had an agenda, with rules regulatios, moral objectives, if's-and's, and but's, and if you do not abide with these you are kicked out black balled, ex-comunicated, drawn and quartered, could be arrested and forfiture of life, limb and liberty.
I know that when you are elected or appointed into political/public office you have to "Swear/Pledge" to uphold this office, and sometimes you have to place your hand on The Bible, but in most if not all cases ,you have to raise your right hand.
Whether it be a law inforcement,city/state office, federal office, or the pesidency, you promise to uphold the rules and regulations of that office. Sometimes you swear to uphold the states rules, city rules or federal rules, but the President + all other elected Represenatives and Senators swear to up hold the Consitution of The United States of America. plain & simple. If they fail to do so, they should be outsted immediately, if not by by the vote of the people, but by the courts.
Only the Supreme Court Justices are for life, not politicians.Vote 'em out.
Don;t get fooled by the liberal press.
"The fish are hitting heavy in Possum Creek", I loaded the boat!
The next time I went to PCreek , the bass boats were thick, gunnel to gunnel.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I was fishing for blue gill. Half a stroy is worse than a lie sometimes. Watch out for the news media, ask questions, get informed and put some men/women in office that believe in the Constutution.

Had me worried. For a minute I thought they might take my fishing poles. emoHoppingmad emoHoppingmad

It is time for a Real Change.

The real problem with today's politicians is that they swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States by what they interpret it to say. Most of the time their interpretation is not what the actual document means. In other words they uphold only what they think is right according to their agenda. Hence the "fairness doctrine" and any and all gun laws. Dang don't get me started.

Never was a boy scout, but I sure like the Ol Blue Lodge - just not able to be active enough. Great comments. :)

I think there was even a "Pledge" with my first Red Ryder pump BB gun that I bought at Sears & Roebuck, for about $8. It was something about shooting small animals, bullies that picked on myself & friends, & politicians.

The main reason for this post was; when someone pledges or promises or swears to do something and places their hand on The Bible, and then renig, should they be held liable? Should they be prosecuted and punished? If you were in a court of law and promised to tell the truth and lied, then that is called pergury, and you are supposed to get jail time.
What differs from pergury and what the President and politicians do? They promise and swear and then they do just the opposite. Are they beyond the laws of the country?? Seems so, because very few or if any get punished, except by getting voted out, and that's what this is all about.
Vote them out!!!
