i find it hard to believe that ANY one person could be the reason BASS lost the federation to FLW. i could be wrong but i think it had something to do with rules changing.

! There was a time when going to the lake ment getting away from people jumping around, yelling & screaming. Still could be if some wouldn't act like a fool to get attention & endorsements. The Boy can fish, but I can't root for someone who raps a light pole around a steering wheel of a boat, in a temper tantrum that ain't even his own boat! Besides, it's all an act he doesn't have to do it.

Can't believe you bunch of weenies..... The show was more than just HIM! I like the format and he's okay... Certainly NOT my favorite, but that's his personality. We've all known people who were a bit high strung, hyped up and screamin' a bit. Whoopin and hollerin doesn't make one a BAD guy or run off others, but probably more like 2jigs said, "I go fishing to get AWAY from people like that". Tell me he wouldn't make a boring day more exciting if you got paired with him in an event.
The show shows that there are fish down town in many of these big Urban environments. The first two shows showed NYC and Chicago! I've walked those streets in both cities and find it really cool they are trying to catch a limit in the city limits. Chicago last night was very cool. Especially when they went downtown in the canal. That water is always very green and MUST be cleaner than when I lived there. Catching smallmouth. Too much..... But kicking a light pole off a boat during competition is just crying for attention... much like a 10 yr old. emoTskTsk

Ike and Tred Barta are kind of like car wrecks. You may not like what you see, but if you drive by, you have to look!

I really enjoyed the Chicago show... I thought it was a great demonstration of the fact that you really can find good fishing opportunities darn near anywhere, if you're just willing to look.
