Can't hammer Obama- that would be racism, despite his choices of appointees, or defending the proffessor friend of his against the "racist cop" which was not a presidential concern.
The press is now walking on eggshells!

This forum is probably a bad idea that may change what was a fun website!

Well cheez, I think I actually agree with you on something. Most of the time I don't. It seems that Bush definitely got hammered a lot more than Obama has. I'm wondering if the honeymoon period will ever end with Obama. It's a shame that Mccain did not get a better shake, because I think he is a good man.

Well Sam I am glad that you agree with me on this. You don't really have to though because I won't lose a minutes sleep either way. I hate to sound like a smart aleck but you and I have never had any discussions other than fishing together sometime. The only comments I have ever made on your posts were to compliment you on your catch or rib you about not smiling in the pics. Therefore I think your comment about not agreeing with me most of the time on the open forum is uncalled for.

My father was
born in another country. I was not his only child. He
fathered several children with numerous women.


I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no
interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.


Later in life, questions arose over my real name.


My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to
produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.


I grew up practicing one faith but converted to
Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I
practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow
Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.


I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young
adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about
them.


That was before I decided it was time to get serious about
my life and I embarked on a new career.


I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear
to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties
accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.


I became active in local politics in my 30's then with
help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as
a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had
a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.


I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history,
and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I
was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as
though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.


I drew incredibly large crowds during my public
appearances. This bolstered my ego.


At first, my political campaign focused on my country's
foreign policy...... I was very critical of my country in
the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my
country..


But what launched my rise to national prominence were my
views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a
really good plan on how we could do better and every poor
person would be fed & housed for free.


I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this
mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I
decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were
envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.



I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that
sounded good to all people.


I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside
the traditional path of politics & was able to gain
widespread popular support.


I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope'
, together we could change our country and the world.


So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on
behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include
"persecuted minorities". My true views were not
widely known & I kept them unknown, until after I became
my nation's leader.


I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have
easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply
read my writings and examined those people I associated
with.


I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most
powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

James this is why olbummer's college records are sealed. I firmly believe what he stood for and what he wrote about in college would have kept him from the presidency. Too many mysteries about the guy and some are being revealed every little bit.
 
Cheez What I don't understand is That no one else in Americas History has ever gained the highest office in the land so easily and with so many unanswered questions, so swiftly as Obama!!! and remember the old saying we are known by the company we keep. if you lie with pigs your gonna smell like pigs! ......................Yet this man has waltzed His way into a office that others where more qualified than he was,Democrate and Republican sorry but the other democratic hopefuls would have been a better choice than Him and we would not have nearly the foolishness that we now face.Just a opinion! how many are decieved?And still think he is the best choice Dem.or Rep. Remember what His VP said about Him before He lost to Obama He is not ready! </p>

oh come on people.... Obama graduated from an Ivy league school and is far smarter than anyone you or I know. Look I didn't vote for the man either, I felt Ron Paul was the best choice .... regardless every politician is a white collar crook looking for their own benefit.
 
Well James here is how I see it. The only real competition from obummer's party was Hilary. Everybody knows that Hilary is to the left of Ted Kennedy which means she is pretty close to a communist. Our country was not quite ready for someone that is that far left so olbummer got the nod. I know what you are thinking but bear with me. Now with his own party out of the way his only hurdle was McCain. Bush in his liberal leaning ways had our country pretty well screwed. The media had McCain in lockstep with Bush. Because Bush was the man in the hotseat at the time and the economy was tanking he got the blame. Most of it rightfully so I might add.
Now the only hurdle olbummer had to jump was an old man with less than eloquent speaking capabilities and tied to a crappy president by a liberal media. Obummer had nearly twice the money to blitz the airwaves with his smooth reading (teleprompter) People just fell for it all.
In bad economic times people will mostly vote with their wallet. They don't care that a man stands for the wanton destruction of unborn human life. They don't care that a man has a questionable past. This has been proven time and time again.

We live in a country where it is all about me and what can you do for me.
That is why we have this disgusting socialistic monster for a president.
We deserve what we get from this guy. Especially the naive selfish folks who voted for him.

On a more positive note though. People are seeing through this guy and his liberal cronies and are growing tired of the lies and the giant leaps toward socialism. Hopefully they will not do too much irreversible damage before 2010 when we can vote his accomplisses out of office and render him powerless for all intents and purposes.

I was actually trying to validate your viewpoint to a further extent. I was making the point that I typically don't agree with your views, even if I don't post that I disagree. It would be like a Democrat and Republican coming to the same conclusion. That brings more validity to the view. I wasn't trying to degrade you. I still think fresh skipjack is better than frozen though. :)
 
South still cant handle a black man for president. How many soldiers have died because of a false war ? Did you send yours ? I dont think the the country was in great shape before the Obamas came into the mess. Should we have let Palin the ditz come into office ? Mccains health was horrible. Wake up and lets work together or leave. I need your fishing spot.

The race card is the easy button for some. Folks cannot defend olbummer on his merits so they use the race card to attempt to discredit his critics. It was rampant in the campaign and is still in play now. Very sad.
 
How many times even last year I would hear you would never have a black man for president ? I would even hear I dont want no n----r in the white house by fellow good ole southern boys at work. These are same people who go to church and profess to be christians. Which God are they worshiping ? I do not agree with the total health care package , but I feel we should help our people before we try and save the world against people who hate us . I will say it again if the gulf war had 600 water wells on fire we would not of cared. Look at Bosnia probably more of them were excuted than Jews in WW2. Africa gets its share of people killed everyday. America cares about money only. What it really comes down to is the haves and the have nots. Look at the Nickajack river downtown going past the aquarium they just built a 100 million dollar insurance palace. Do think that came from fair business practices ? How many times do you have to resubmit a insurance claim ? Look at all the good people who were Katriana victims and other hurricane victims they never helped. Healthcare is not the problem. Obama is not the problem. I dont care if he is black. If he were guilty of anything I think he is fool for trying to fix the worlds problems first 6 months in office. Go after the insurance companies they are the problem. How many times have you heard the insurance companies are having a hard time ?
 
Insurance companies do suck. My policy is basically a stop loss anyway. I spend the first $2200 of whatever we spend each year on medical bills in addition to my premiums. Unless you have a serious health issue the insurance company usually makes a lot of money. A lot of them don't even insure you and only manage the claims. I think my company actually pays for the medical bills but BCBS administers the program.

Actually Willard the race card came out the very first day this forum opened. That entire thread disappeared on the second day.
