Found out yesterday that we will be having a baby girl in January! Of course being a hunting/ fishing fool I was kinda hoping for a boy, but now I'm looking forward to teaching her all I know about the outdoors. If any of you guys have any advice...please let me know, this will be my first child and I'm real excited!

Congrats Churly. My baby girl is now 6 months old. I don't have much advice, I'm still figuring it out myself but I wish you the best of luck.

My baby girl, now 45 yrs old, loved to go fishing with me. She would play whileI fished. Actually, she still does like to get out in the boat with me. She just can't get away from her two grown sons who want to tag along.!! emoSmile

First thing you'll find out is when she is born, you won't want to leave her side!! There is something about little girls. I just assume hang out with my 2 little chickadees then go fishing anymore. Then again Emalyne will start throwing a fit and I then find myself in the garage messing around with my fishing stuff. emoBigsmile Congratulations!!

Man little girls are great! My 20 month old girl has ruined me. I am the ultimate softy when she is around. Don't get me wrong, my boys are great to but girls have a strong effect on daddy's.

BS's right...can't put my finger on exactly what makes the bond different, but it is. Maybe it's the fact that on their last trip to the neighborhood lake, my 6 year-old daughter flat out spanked her 11 year-old brother on bream and bass.</p>

Advice;
1. Boys, keep them at bay
2. Be prepared to keep all kittens and puppies and rabbits and any other furry cute creatures.
3. Do not let them volunteer at the local animal shelter (see # 2)
4. Boys, keep them at bay
This list could go on for hours, don't worry about it too much and just enjoy.
Congrats.

Congrats!!!!! Me and my wife went for our first doctor visit yesterday she is almost 8weeks . Our ddue date is april 4 emoToast

Just keep your shotgun handy for when them snotty nose boys start coming around, and what ever you do, DO NOT BLINK, or she will turn into a grown lady just like my little girl did. But now for the good side, she has given me 4 grandsons to take fishing.

I have two girls. Wouldnt trade them for anything my oldest one is 11 and my youngest is 4. The 11 year old one is getting in the girly stage. The 4 year old wants to go every where i go fishing hunting or just riding around she dont care. Shes my boy i guess. Oh but the wy shes mean to. (just like a boy) congrats on your girl

Congratulations Churly!!! Little girls are special because...there girls. As for as advice, starting at a very young age (6mos.) tell every boy that comes close to your daughter that every thing he does to her, you are going to do to him. She will hate you for it, but it works. emoCool Al
