I'm very sorry to hear that your friend could have felt so bad about his life to take his. I hope that God will give you and his family peace to deal with it.

Man Billy, I hate that for you bud. But even worse, I hate it for that poor young man who will have to continue through life with no father. I know you will step up and continue to take the little guy out on the water Billy, as well as many other things. Know that my wife and I are both extremely sorry to hear this, and we are praying for little Alex and the rest of his family. Praying for you too bud....

I am truly sorry to hear about your friend. God bless you for trying to help him. I lost a good friend of mine who I hunted and fished with quite a bit last week to cancer. Your friends son is in my prayers.

Sorry to hear this Billy. Our prayers go out for the family and for you to be strong for Alex. Hopefully he will keep in touch and you can be a corner stone for him.

Sorry to hear about this Billy. You and the family are in my prayers. No doubt this young man will need a mentor such as yourself in the near future.

Sorry to hear about this. I just went through the same thing in August when my brother-in-law decied to do the same thing. My prayers go out to you.

I'm so sorry you lost your friend and his son lost a father. Suicide is NEVER the answer to a problem and it leaves so much pain in it's wake. You were a good friend to him and I pray for his family. Our family has had a couple suicides over the years and nobody can ever understand it. He will face God and have to answer for his deeds just like the rest of us.

Been there Billy, had it happen 2x to me, no kids involved, but still hurts. Sometimes those who do take their own lives just cant see the light at the end of the tunnel, and no matter what you do it still ends the same. With or without help.

My prayers go out to all involved, and a big ol emoGrouphug for you and the little boy

Billy, Hope this hurt passes you by fast as possible. When on this side of the mound it seems like there is no rhyme or reason as to why things happen, but I can assure you that with time this too will show its light. It saddens me deeply to hear of things like this happening, and I know it hurts you so much being close, but do not blame yourself for this. I am sad with you Brother!

Billy, I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy for the young son. Prayers are sent your way and to the little boy. If you need anything, I'll be home for the next several weeks, stop by and we'll chat. Take care my friend..

Sorry to hear that man. Its never an easy thing to deal with when someone takes their own life. Just pray and keep your loved ones close.

This type of tragedy never makes sense to the ones that are left behind. Try to find comfort in the fact that you tried to make a difference in his life. It is often far beyond our ability to reach deep enough into a person to pull them out of the depression that they feel. You did a good deed, don't let this tarnish your memory of the good times. As for the little boy, let some time pass before you try to make contact with him. I am sure as the days turn into months he will be more available.
