Talked to his son Chad yesterday at work and he told me about this too. Said the surgery is in a couple weeks I believe. Will be praying for him. Jerry is a great man who makes great jigs!

The surgery was moved to 1 pm today. It's basically an exploratory surgery because the doctors do not know what is causing him to have so much fluid build up on his only remaining lung. About a week ago they drained just about a quart of fluid out of him. He was literally about to drown! He told me Wednesday that he hadn't been fishing and didn't know if he would ever get to go again. He needs all our thoughts, well wishes and prayers right now. Thank you!

They had the surgery scheduled for 8 am on Friday. Then on Thursday they rescheduled him at 1 pm on Friday. I called Jerry's wife Carmen at 6:10 pm on Friday afternoon and they had just taken him back for prep!? The bad news is, Jerry has a carcinoma cancer in his remaining lung. The doctors took samples, biopsies and are waiting for other test results to determine just how to treat this accursed thing. The good news is, it wasn't the asbestos, mesothelioma type that cannot be treated. Right now, just send up a prayer for 'ol Moses.
