No, most of these style jigs are made out of steel, or lead Doc. I would have thought you knew that with your advanced age....

They are all REAL, some are just improved.

The 3 pack at WalMart will work fine. I think they are 1/4 oz though. I caught some nice ones a couple weeks ago on those spoons, all 3 colors.</p>

I have had some luck on jigging spoons in the last few weeks. I know this much about them now, they will catch most anything. My favorite to use is the flexit spoons in white and black and white quarter once. The flexit spoon can be bent a little bit to adjust there action and they fall very fast in the water. I was at sportsmans today and they have them in stock. Here is a picture of a 19LB flathead that came on a jigging spoon
